PADI Open Water Course
This is THE most popular dive program in the world. It teaches you the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.
PADI Open Water Diver certification
You will also earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognized worldwide. As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive independent of a professional. You earn this rating by completing five pool and knowledge development modules and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. At some point in the course, your PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 metres/yards without swim aids or 300 metres/yards with mask, fins and snorkel and complete a bit of paperwork, to get you on your way.

PADI Advanced Open Water Course
PADI™s Adventures In Diving program fine-tune your diving skills and allows you to explore all that diving has to offer a structured program where you gain additional experience and skills under the guidance of a PADI Professional.
This in-water, performance-based program includes dives from the following:

The PADI Adventures In Diving program offers two certification options. Complete any three Adventure Dives to earn the PADI Adventure Diver rating. Complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives and three additional Adventure Dives (five total) and earn a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
Divers between the ages of 12-14 who complete the dives can earn a PADI Junior Adventure Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver rating. The maximum recommended depth for adventure dive is 30 metres/100 feet.
Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver Course
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.

The Scuba Gear You Use
You use all your basic scuba gear including a dive computer and accessories.
The Learning Materials You Need
The PADI Rescue Diver crewpak includes all materials required to complete the PADI Rescue Diver course – including a pocket mask. You’ll learn how to think like a rescue diver and preview skills you’ll practice with your PADI Instructor. Once your Rescue Diver course is complete, you can review the DVD to refresh your dive safety skills as needed. This tool box of knowledge and technique will give you the expertise to handle almost any emergency situation.
Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must
- Be 12 years or older
- Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses).

Your Next Adventure
After completing CPR and first aid and the PADI Rescue Diver course, you should take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course Together, these three courses round out your ability to handle scuba diver emergencies.
After completing the Rescue Diver Course, five specialty courses and fifty Dives you can apply for the PADI master scuba diver card. This is the highest level of fun diver in PADI system and is a bench mark in terms of skills in and out of the water.
